The regional stage of the FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) robotics championship, held from February 10 to 13, in the capital of Kazakhstan, concluded with a significant victory for our country’s students. Based on the judges' evaluation, the "Oguzrobot" team was granted a special quota to participate in the international robotics competition in China for their innovative solutions and superior technical skills.
Nearly 80 teams from various parts of the world, including Hong Kong, Estonia, Vietnam, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Kazakhstan, took part in the championship. Winning two out of the four most challenging games in the qualifying round, the team received high marks from the judges for robot design and programming.
It is worth noting that the participating teams consisted of students from specialized secondary schools No. 97 and No. 86 in Ashgabat, who underwent rigorous training at the "Kämil bilim" education center in the capital.
Following last year’s "International Success" award in Astana, securing a spot in the China competition this year is a clear testament to the continuous advancement of STEM education (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) in our country.
