
A solemn ceremony was held at the Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Ashgabat to transfer, on behalf of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, the King of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, a gift to the Government of Turkmenistan of 5 tons of dates from the harvest of the Hijri year 1447.

The ceremony was attended by His Excellency the Counsellor of the Embassy, Deputy Head of the Diplomatic Mission, Mr. Naif bin Saud Al-Sahli, the representative of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Mr. Talal Al-Maliki, and representatives of the Turkmenistan Muftiate.

As part of the ceremony, His Excellency the Counsellor of the Embassy, Deputy Head of the Diplomatic Mission, Mr. Naif bin Saud Al-Sahli, met with representatives of the Turkmenistan Muftiate, who expressed sincere gratitude and appreciation to the Government of Saudi Arabia for this generous gift, symbolizing the strong bonds of friendship and brotherhood between the two countries, as well as for all the services and facilities provided to Turkmen pilgrims during their annual performance of the Hajj rituals.
