The Republic of Belarus and Turkmenistan have agreed on a quota for the exchange of permits for carrying out international road freight transport in 2027. This was reported by the Belarusian Ministry of Transport.
The signing of the documents took place in Minsk during the meeting of the Belarus-Turkmen Joint Committee on International Road Transport.
On the principle of reciprocity, an agreement was reached to allow drivers of vehicles authorized under the legislation to carry out international road transport, equipped with digital control devices meeting the ESTR requirements, and printouts from digital tachographs, to operate in the territory of both countries.
Participants of the meeting also discussed options for simplifying administrative procedures for Belarusian carriers to carry out international road transport in Turkmenistan and for extending the possible duration of drivers’ stay in the country.
