On March 30, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Myahri Byashimova met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Belgium, Julien de Fraipon. The talks confirmed the countries' mutual commitment to a qualitatively updated bilateral agenda.
The central topic of discussion was the development of political and diplomatic dialogue and the expansion of the legal framework. The parties particularly noted Belgium's strategic role as a key partner in deepening Turkmenistan's cooperation with the European Union. Cooperation on international platforms, primarily within the UN, also remains a priority for Ashgabat and Brussels.

The economic component of the talks focused on intensifying direct business contacts. The parties expressed support for organizing joint events with the participation of the business communities of both countries to identify new growth areas in trade and investment. In the humanities, emphasis was placed on developing inter-university ties, which lays the foundation for long-term intellectual partnerships.
