
A large-scale cultural event took place in the French city of Gretz-Armainvilliers, organized by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in cooperation with the relevant ministry. The event was dedicated to the 2026 motto: “Independent, Neutral Turkmenistan — the Homeland of Purposeful Winged Horses.”
In his welcoming speech, Ambassador Maksat Charyyev emphasized the role of culture as a foundation of friendship between nations and expressed gratitude to the city authorities and the France–Turkmenistan Association for their support.

The evening program featured performances by bakhshi musicians and artistic groups, showcasing the richness of Turkmen folklore. Special emphasis was placed on the art of breeding Ahalteke horses, which is included in the UNESCO list. Guests also explored a thematic exhibition presenting the works of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, as well as masterpieces of carpet weaving and decorative and applied arts.
The event concluded with a tasting of traditional national dishes, marking an important step in strengthening bilateral humanitarian cooperation.
