The Turkmen-Italian dialogue is receiving new impetus: on April 14, Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov accepted copies of the credentials of the newly appointed Italian Ambassador, Martin Bruck.
This meeting was a logical continuation of the course set during the official visit of the President of Turkmenistan to Rome in October 2025. The parties confirmed that relations between the countries are developing steadily, encompassing not only politics but also strategic investments.
Martin Bruck assured that his work will focus on expanding mutually beneficial cooperation and strengthening the friendly ties that bind Ashgabat and Rome.
The parties placed particular emphasis on practical steps to bring the business communities closer together. They expressed support for continuing the practice of holding business forums and meetings involving leading companies from both countries.

The six-month archaeological exhibition "Ancient Civilizations of Turkmenistan," which successfully concluded in Rome recently, was recognized as a landmark event in humanitarian cooperation.
In addition to their bilateral agenda, Turkmenistan and Italy confirmed their intention to coordinate their efforts at international forums, primarily within the UN, building on their accumulated positive experience.
