On April 21, 2023, the Lanting Forum on "Chinese Modernization and Peace" was held at the Grand Halls in Shanghai. Chinese President Xi Jinping sent a congratulatory message to the forum. Member of the State Council, Chinese Foreign Minister Qin Gang attended the opening ceremony. The forum was attended by current and former high-ranking officials from almost 80 countries, authoritative experts and scientists, business leaders, foreign diplomatic envoys and representatives of international organizations in China, as well as representatives of international media. The annual thematic week of musicologists was held at the Maya Kuliyeva Turkmen National Conservatory, which the organizers decided to coincide with the anniversary of the composer Nury Halmammedov.
