On June 5, the two-day environmental campaign “Cooperation for a Green Future” was concluded at Turkmen State University named after Magtymguly. The project, organized to mark World Environment Day, was jointly conducted by the Secretariat of the National Commission of Turkmenistan for UNESCO and the public organization “Young Naturalist.”
As part of the campaign, a thematic exhibition entitled “Eco-Steps: From the Past to the Future” was held. Domestic UNESCO Clubs, Associated Schools, creative groups, and representatives of the country’s private sector showcased their achievements and promising projects in the field of environmental protection.

The program continued with a specialized conference attended by representatives of government agencies, higher education institutions, environmental organizations, and international bodies. Experts discussed key climate-related challenges, including combating climate change, advancing water diplomacy, preventing environmental pollution, and ensuring environmental security. Speakers particularly emphasized the effectiveness of comprehensive environmental protection programs being implemented in Turkmenistan at the state level.
The environmental marathon concluded with a ceremonial award presentation. Organizers presented Certificates of Honor and commemorative gifts to the most active participants in recognition of their significant contribution to the success of the campaign.
