UNDP is a long-standing partner of the Government of Turkmenistan in the development of educational courses on human rights. "Such courses help governments to make more effective decisions to achieve gender equality, including with regard to gender mainstreaming policy, which is one of the most effective ways to promote women's empowerment," Tomica Paovich, Deputy Permanent Representative of UNDP in Turkmenistan, said in his speech.

In addition, the development and implementation of this course will contribute to the implementation of the National Action Plan for Human Rights in Turkmenistan for 2021-2025 and the National Action Plan for Gender Equality in Turkmenistan for 2021-2025, as well as the Gender Equality Strategy of the United Nations Development Program for 2022- 2025.
