Festival events in honor of the 85th anniversary of Nury Halmamedov will be held in all corners of the country
24.10.2023 | 16:33 |The 85th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding Turkmen composer Nury Halmamedov will be widely celebrated in Turkmenistan with the festival "Life permeated with music" ("Mukama siñen ömür"). Creative actions and musical events will be held on October 27-28 at the venues of Ashgabat, the city of Arkadag and in the regions of the country. The participants of the festival will be both young and famous musicians, artists and artists.
The festival program promises to be full of interesting events – conferences, exhibitions, concerts, screenings of dramatic performances will take place and there will be a presentation of a documentary about the personality and work of the great composer. The screening will take place in the capital's Ashgabat cinema.
All events start almost simultaneously in different locations of the country and not only. A scientific and practical conference with the same name - "Life permeated with music" will be held at the Maya Kuliyeva Turkmen National Conservatory. At the same time, an international forum dedicated to the composer's anniversary will be held in Moscow, where outstanding figures of science, culture, musical art, theorists and musicologists will gather.
The capital's Institute of Culture will also host a creative meeting, the main topic of which will be the contribution of Nury Halmamedov to the Turkmen cinema. His musical compositions are decorated with paintings from the golden fund of the Turkmenfilm film studio: "Shukur Bagshi", "The Decisive Step", "Bitter Fate", "Secrets of Mukam", "Naughty Brothers" and others.
The Museum of Fine Arts of Turkmenistan will open an exhibition of paintings celebrating the artistic image of the composer. The exhibition of works by famous Turkmen artists will be accompanied by a musical action with the participation of Turkmen singers and vocalists.
A big concert of youth creative collectives will take place in the city of Arkadag on the stage of the Aman Gulmammedov State Drama Theater. And music schools and cultural centers of the Ahal, Balkan, Mary, Lebap and Dashoguz regions will organize performances of talented students and teachers at their concert venues, performed by famous works of Nury Halmamedov.
A theatrical production "Sounds of Dutar" will be shown at the Saparmurat Turkmenbashi Main Drama Theater, and the closing of the festival will be held at the Mukams Palace – the State Symphony Orchestra of Turkmenistan under the baton of conductor Rasul Klychev will perform the most popular works of Nury Halmamedov.
Moreover, already on October 29, the VII Moscow International festival "Sounds of Dutar" named after Nury Halmamedov will start in the Russian capital.
