Xiaomi unveils flagship innovations: from EV to AI gadgets
28.06.2025 | 18:00 |In a significant event held in China, Xiaomi showcased a comprehensive array of innovative devices, underscoring the evolution of its ecosystem. The unveiled products included the company's first electric SUV, new smartphones, tablets, and AI-powered wearable devices.
The centerpiece of the presentation was the debut of the Xiaomi YU7, a mid-size electric crossover. This vehicle measures 4999 mm in length with a 3000 mm wheelbase and is available in nine color options. The base version of the YU7 features a rear-mounted motor and a 96.3 kWh LFP battery, offering a driving range of 835 km (CLTC cycle). It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.88 seconds. The top-tier Pro and Max versions are equipped with all-wheel drive, delivering outputs of 365 kW and 508 kW respectively. The Max variant, with its larger 101.7 kWh NMC battery, achieves 0 to 100 km/h in an impressive 3.23 seconds.
Among other key announcements was the Xiaomi Mix Flip 2, the company's sole foldable smartphone for the year. It features a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip and a 6.85-inch 1.5K OLED display. The tablet lineup was expanded with the Xiaomi Pad 7S Pro, boasting a powerful Xring O1 chip, a 12.5-inch 3.2K display with a 144 Hz refresh rate, and a substantial 12,160 mAh battery with 120W fast charging. The compact gaming tablet Redmi K Pad and the smartphone Redmi K80 Ultra are both powered by the Dimensity 9400 Plus processor.
Xiaomi also presented its vision for an expanded ecosystem, introducing new AI-integrated wearable devices. These included the Xiaomi AI Glasses, Open Earphones Pro, Band 10 fitness tracker, and the Watch S4 (41mm).
