In Turkmenistan, with the support of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and under the wise leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, advanced technologies and intelligent solutions are being actively implemented across all sectors. The widespread adoption of innovations is a priority for the nation's development.

Upon the initiative of the National Leader of the Turkmen people and through the policy of the President of Turkmenistan, the fifth-generation (5G) communication technology has been deployed by the "Türkmenaragatnaşyk" agency in Arkadag city, Central Asia's first "smart" city, where all aspects of life are managed using electronic systems.

The launch of 5G represents a significant milestone in the country's technological advancement, opening new opportunities for accelerated and more convenient management of enterprises and organizations, as well as for rapid access to digital services.

It is worth recalling that on February 22 of this year, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, during a working visit to Arkadag city, initiated the implementation of 4G+ technology and subsequently instructed the development of plans for 5G deployment.

As part of this endeavor, the "Türkmenaragatnaşyk" agency, in collaboration with the Chinese company Huawei, conducted the necessary activities and thoroughly examined all technical aspects. Consequently, the 5G network is now available throughout Arkadag city.

In the context of rapid economic digitalization, 5G stands as the highest-speed generation of internet connectivity. For comparison, while data transfer speeds in 4G+ networks are approximately 200–250 Mbps, 5G enables data transmission at speeds ranging from 500 Mbps to 1 Gbps. This facilitates the efficient management of software products requiring high bandwidth and ensures seamless connectivity for thousands of devices simultaneously.

In Arkadag city, the implementation of 5G will unlock new possibilities across various domains, from real-time acquisition of educational data and management of production processes via digital systems to 4K live broadcasts and the advancement of telemedicine.

This technology also assumes particular significance for the rapidly evolving field of robotics, enabling remote control of robots, execution of precise medical operations, opening extensive opportunities for the integration of artificial intelligence into daily life, and enhancing production efficiency across diverse industries.

Overall, the introduction of the 5G network in Arkadag city creates conditions for implementing new operational standards, innovative management, and enhancing production capacity and service quality. It further confirms that a modern telecommunications infrastructure has been established in the city, contributing to dynamic economic development and strengthening Turkmenistan's position in the realm of digital technologies.

Thus, 5G is becoming an integral component of "smart" city Arkadag, which was constructed with modern architectural solutions and advanced technologies in mind.

It should be noted that the "Türkmenaragatnaşyk" Agency consistently implements a digital transformation policy aimed at establishing a modern telecommunications infrastructure. Through the deployment of advanced technologies, communication quality is enhanced, and public and organizational access to digital services is expanded. This fosters conditions for stable economic growth and enables the introduction of new forms of distance learning, e-health, and intelligent management of urban systems.
