Turkmen and Uzbek writers held a meeting in Tashkent
30.10.2023 | 15:19 |A creative meeting of Turkmen and Uzbek writers and poets took place on October 29 in Tashkent as part of the Days of Culture of Turkmenistan in Uzbekistan. A cultural event dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of the great thinker and poet of the East, Magtymguly Pyragy, was held in the building of the Writers' Union of Uzbekistan.
The participants were poets, writers, cultural and scientific figures of the two countries, representatives of the mass media, as well as the Turkmen diaspora in Uzbekistan. The "hosts" told the guests about the achievements, creativity and heritage of Uzbek writers and presented editions of classical and modern Turkmen literature in Uzbek.
As part of the cultural program, the delegates visited the museum of the Writers' Union of Uzbekistan and were able to see unique exhibits - posters, archival photographs, publications and collections of different times, introducing the life and work of writers, poets, literary critics of Uzbekistan. There was also an excursion to the "Writers' Park" in Tashkent, according to the website of the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan.
