Beautiful autumn melodies and the rebirth of the "Poem..."
02.11.2023 | 17:40 |In the Large Concert Hall of the Maya Kuliyeva Turkmen National Conservatory, a concert of the chamber orchestra "Beautiful Melodies of Autumn" (Güýz paslynyń şirin owazlary) was held under the direction of artistic director and conductor, senior lecturer of the Conducting Department Nura Mukhiev, multiple winner of the competition of the President of Turkmenistan Türkmeniń Altyn asyry.
The concert program featured works by contemporary foreign and Turkmen composers. The performance opened with the work of composer Eduard Napravnik "Melancholy", and the slow wonderful music of the string orchestra immediately captivated the audience with its mesmerizing melody.
The composer Suhan Tuyliev's composition "Begler", dedicated to the memory of the wonderful Bagshi Gurt Yakubov, was also performed. The solo part on the garga tuiduk was performed by the Honored Artist of Turkmenistan Ashir Yazmyradov. The author used Turkmen folk melodies, which he processed for a chamber orchestra.
Images of the nature of Turkmenistan, small oases in the vast expanses of the Karakum desert were embodied in another work of Suhan Tuyliev - "Pendi Nagmalary". Here, the most difficult solo part on the garga tuyduk was performed by the wonderful musician Vepa Odaev. In his solo performance, the folk melody "Bad Saba" sounded at a high professional level.
But written in the tradition of Joseph Haydn and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Benjamin Britten's "Simple Symphony" plunged listeners into the wonderful world of classical music. Despite the fact that the work is called a "Simple Symphony", it is distinguished by a complex technique of strokes on stringed instruments, this composition is called a real pearl of English music of the XX century.
The concert was also attended by laureates of the XVII Delphic Games, recently held in Bishkek. Thus, Seyran Ataniyazov, a 2nd-year student majoring in violin (Nazik Saryeva's class), performed a Violin Concerto with Mozart orchestra, the piano part was performed by the laureate of international competitions, senior lecturer of the Chamber ensemble Department Stella Faramazova. Beautiful melodies combined with classical harmony are clearly expressed in the strict form of the composition, and the musicians brilliantly conveyed the composer's idea and style. A 3rd-year student majoring in piano, Ercel Yagshimuradov (class of Vladimir Mkrtumov) played Sergei Prokofiev's "Legend" and "Toccato", which, with their combination of complex harmony and rhythm, require high performing skills, which Ercel coped with perfectly.
The final number was a Poem for strings, timpani and celesta by the composer Jeren Kurbanklycheva. As Nury Muhiyev said: "This work was recorded by the author under the guidance of the talented composer Chara Nurymov in 1978. The poem is distinguished by the complexity of its execution, in it the author used the techniques of modern compositional writing, therefore, in technical terms, the work can be compared with Nurymov's "Destan Concerts". The poem was recorded for the All-Union Radio and Television Foundation by the Bolshoi Theater Symphony Orchestra conducted by the famous conductor Fuat Mansurov, and also performed in 1989 by the TURKSOY Youth Chamber Orchestra conducted by Dusen Kaseinov, and many years later it was first performed in Turkmenistan, so our performance can be called the second birth of the "Poem".
