China experiences seasonal surge in rural tourism
11.04.2025 | 11:05 |China is currently in the midst of its spring blossom season. The country's residents are enjoying nature not only in urban parks but are also venturing out into the countryside. Meanwhile, rural tourism cooperatives are calculating their profits.
In the rapeseed fields, tourists drink coffee, take photographs, watch with interest as drones spray the crops, and try their hand at preparing traditional rice cakes. The weather in China is currently conducive to comfortable travel. Zhu Linlin, the manager of a farm, instructs guests in the art of pressed flower making. In this way, rapeseed flowers gain a second life as handmade souvenirs.
Zhu Linlin, Manager of the "Yiquan" Agricultural Cooperative: "This year, the rapeseed blossoms have attracted approximately two thousand visitors. They have come not only to admire the landscapes and take photoshoots but also to learn about agricultural traditions".
The farm has designated zones for rural tourism. Here, families, especially those with children, enjoy learning about agricultural culture through practical experience.
The Chinese snowball viburnum is also in full bloom. Tourists dress up in traditional costumes to participate in themed events.
Zhang Yaoyao, Head of the Agricultural Management Department of Anji County: "We are creating aesthetically appealing agricultural recreation zones and popular spots for people to highlight on social media. Subsequently, we will focus on combining rural tourism with educational practices, branding, and festivals."
Thus, thanks to the blossoms and a well-considered approach, the Chinese rural economy is also flourishing.
