Oriented on making people closer

French Senator Samantha Cazebon, who represents French citizens residing abroad, will undertake an official visit to Turkmenistan on June 23–24, 2025.

According to the Embassy of Turkmenistan in France, the visit will take place within the framework of events commemorating the 30th anniversary of French language instruction in Turkmenistan. The agenda includes bilateral meetings and cultural and educational activities.

The organization of this visit was discussed during a meeting held on June 11 at the Senate of the French Republic between Maksat Charyyev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to France, and Senator Samantha Cazebon.

The parties thoroughly reviewed the implementation of agreements in the field of education, including the Roadmap for 2025–2026 on Cooperation in General and Higher Education. This roadmap was signed during the official visit of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, to France on May 5 of this year.

During the meeting, mutual commitment to developing the Turkmen-French partnership, particularly in the humanitarian, educational, and cultural spheres, was also reaffirmed.
