Oriented on making people closer

Russia has officially recognized the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan. This was reported by TASS, citing the Russian Foreign Ministry.

Earlier, the agency also reported that the Afghan flag introduced by the Taliban was hung over the embassy in Moscow for the first time since the movement came to power in 2021.

On July 1, the new Afghan Ambassador to Russia Gul Khasan arrived in Moscow, and on July 3, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko accepted copies of his credentials.

On April 17, the Supreme Court of Russia granted the administrative claim of the Prosecutor General to suspend the ban on the activities of the Taliban movement in the Russian Federation. As noted by the Russian Foreign Ministry, the removal of the terrorist status from the Taliban opens the way to establishing a full-fledged partnership with Kabul, carried out in the interests of the Russian and Afghan peoples.
