Oriented on making people closer

The Ministry of Healthcare and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan hosted a scientific and practical conference entitled “The State Program of the President of Turkmenistan “Saglyk” in Action.” The event, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the landmark Saglyk program, brought together heads and representatives of medical institutions, health departments, public organizations, as well as faculty and students of the Myrat Garryev State Medical University.

Achievements and Focus of the Saglyk Program

The conference became a platform for discussing the successful implementation of the Saglyk program objectives initiated by the National Leader of the Turkmen people. The main focus was on improving the work of medical institutions, increasing the quality and accessibility of medical services for the population. Participants emphasized that the state is constantly investing in strengthening the material and technical base of the healthcare system and is actively developing international cooperation.

An exhibition demonstrating the achievements of domestic medicine was organized in the lobby of the building. Among the exhibits were modern medical equipment and a wide range of products from local medicinal plants. A special place in the exposition was occupied by the multi-volume scientific and encyclopedic work of Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov "Medicinal Plants of Turkmenistan", which has received international recognition.

Modern Medicine and Healthy Lifestyle

It was noted that in all regions of the country, including the cities of Ashgabat and Arkadag, there are medical centers equipped to high international standards, many of which have international certificates. Institutions such as specialized clinics, diagnostic complexes and Maternal and Child Health Centers are installed with equipment from leading global manufacturers, which guarantees high quality services.

Turkmenistan is actively introducing advanced technologies and a digital system in healthcare, and also creates all the conditions for improving the qualifications of doctors, including through internships in leading clinics in the world. In the southern part of the capital, a complex of modern medical institutions has already been formed, including the International Traumatology Center.

The state also attaches great importance to strengthening the principles of a healthy lifestyle, actively involving the population, especially young people, in physical education and sports.

Recognition of Work and Plans for the Future

At the end of the conference, on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan, doctors and specialists who made a significant contribution to the development of healthcare were presented with valuable gifts. The results of the "Best Hospital" competition held throughout the country were also announced.

Further development of the healthcare system of Turkmenistan will be focused on innovative equipment, improving the professionalism of medical personnel and actively developing international relations, which will allow doctors to effectively master the latest medical technologies.
