 Leading International Investors and Business Leaders to Gather in Ashgabat for TIF-2025

The Turkmenistan Investment Forum (TIF 2025) will be held on September 18–19, 2025, in Ashgabat, becoming a key event for both the international and domestic business and investment community. The forum is aimed at strengthening economic ties, attracting foreign direct investment, and fostering sustainable partnerships.

The event will bring together senior government officials, representatives of international financial institutions and organizations, leading corporations and think tanks, and development partners to discuss strategic areas of growth and regional cooperation.

The opening of the forum will begin with a plenary session on the theme: “Turkmenistan’s Investment Appeal as a Factor of Strategic Efficiency.” Key speakers include senior government officials as well as:

• Beatrice Maser, Executive Director of the World Bank;

• Luc Devigne, Deputy Managing Director of the European External Action Service (EEAS);

• Oleg Korobchenko, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan and Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan;

• Michael Harms, Executive Director of the German Eastern Business Association.

The forum program features nine thematic sessions dedicated to key areas of economic development, including:

• Stable and reliable energy security – development of Turkmenistan’s priority fuel and energy sectors;

• Development of Turkmenistan’s transport and communication infrastructure – investment in the transport and logistics system;

• Digital and “green” transformation for sustainable development;

• Climate-resilient agriculture and investments in processing industries;

• Strengthening institutional foundations of trade and expanding access to new markets;

• Climate change and resilient infrastructure for a sustainable future;

• Public-private partnerships in investment projects;

• Strategic course towards economic diversification;

• New trends in construction, industry, and energy in Turkmenistan and prospects for mutually beneficial cooperation.

Special attention will be given to climate issues, circular economy, water management, international trade, and healthcare. In particular, joint sessions with the World Bank and the EBRD will focus on the “One Health in Central Asia” project and on regional economic cooperation.

The event will provide access to large-scale projects in energy, transport, infrastructure, agriculture, green and digital technologies, giving participants the opportunity to establish business ties with key public and private sector stakeholders.
