Following the trilateral meeting in Turkmenbashi, the leaders of Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan made statements for the press. In addition to transport and logistics, the topic of energy cooperation occupied a special place in their speeches. The participants emphasized that cooperation in the economic sphere of our states is not only of regional, but also of pan-Eurasian significance.

"We discussed important issues of deepening strategic partnership in the gas sector, as well as future prospects, and agreed on our readiness to strengthen cooperation," Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said.

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev also voiced his vision of the prospects, speaking about "the possibilities of cooperation between the three countries in the energy sector. We are talking about promising projects for the development of hydrocarbon deposits and the export of generated electricity."

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev confirmed that the relevant government agencies have already received instructions to create a trilateral cooperation format in key areas, including electric power and oil and gas.

Thus, the meeting marked the start of practical work to strengthen cooperation in the energy sector. The leaders expressed confidence that all the tasks set will be completed, which will create a new partnership format in the region aimed at peace and prosperity.
