Türkiye's Organic Product Exports Exceed €1 Billion in 2024
27.08.2025 | 08:20 |Türkiye's organic product exports surpassed 1 billion euros ($1.16 billion) in 2024, announced on Monday by Muharrem Doğan, Chairman of the Association of Organic Product Producers and Industrialists (ORGÜDER).
According to him, about 500 million euros were attributed to organic food products, with an equal amount going to organic textiles. “We are also a very strong country in organic textiles,” Doğan noted.
Doğan emphasized that Türkiye holds a solid position in the global organic sector. The main export markets include the United States, Germany, the Netherlands, France, and the United Kingdom, receiving fresh and dried fruits and vegetables, cereals, and legumes.
In recent years, Türkiye has also increased exports to the countries of the Persian Gulf. In particular, Turkish organic eggs account for more than 70% of the market in the region. “We entered the market in 2016–2017, and today we maintain our leadership thanks to geographical proximity and promotional support,” added Doğan.
Organic food production in Türkiye began approximately 30 years ago and today includes over 270 product items compared to 16 in 1986. The annual production volume is estimated at around 2 million tons, with about 85% of the products exported.
