Turkmenistan's ministry of communications and UNDP host digital transformation trainings
27.08.2025 | 10:20 |From August 25 to 29, 2025, the Ministry of Communications of Turkmenistan, in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), is conducting a series of digital transformation trainings for representatives from the public and private sectors.
The training sessions are part of a project to develop the Concept and State Program for the Digital Economy of Turkmenistan for 2026–2028. Participants include representatives from nearly 30 ministries and government agencies, as well as entrepreneurs, small and medium-sized business owners, and startups.
The training topics cover a wide range of subjects, including:
Digitalization of public administration
Development of digital strategies
Ensuring cybersecurity
Data management
International best practices in digitalization
The sessions are being led by UNDP international expert on digital transformation, Aare Laponin.
The program aims to strengthen institutional capacity, foster a strategic approach to digitalization, and integrate modern digital solutions into the daily operations of state structures.
These trainings are a crucial step in preparing for the implementation of the new digital economy program. They are part of a joint initiative to build a sustainable digital infrastructure, develop human capital, and expand opportunities for Turkmenistan's economic growth and diversification.
