An AI-powered wireless charging system proves more stable and efficient
26.08.2025 | 16:20 |A team of scientists from Chiba University in Japan has developed a groundbreaking wireless power transmission system that utilizes artificial intelligence. It solves the main problem with existing technologies: their dependence on the load, which causes voltage fluctuations and loss of efficiency.
During trials, the AI helped create a system where voltage fluctuations were reduced from 18% to just 5%. At the same time, the energy transmission efficiency increased to 86.7%, which is almost a third higher than previous methods. This achievement was made possible by machine learning, which allowed the algorithm to optimize the system's performance across thousands of virtual simulations.
The developers are confident that the new technology will pave the way for wireless charging of electric vehicles at the speed of superchargers and provide stable power to medical implants. The scientists' work demonstrates that AI can not only help with data processing but also accelerate the design process for electronic devices themselves.
