08.09.2025 | 16:00 |Cooperation between Turkmenistan and South Korea, based on the principles of friendship and trust, is a priority direction of Turkmenistan’s foreign policy. Two countries actively interact both bilaterally and within the framework of the UN and the regional format "Central Asia – Republic of Korea." This partnership covers a wide range of areas, including science, education, energy, transport, ecology, healthcare, and culture.
As part of strengthening ties in the field of education, Turkmenistan regularly sends students abroad for studies and internships. Recently, a group of students from the Turkmen National Institute of World Languages named after Dovletmammet Azadi were sent for South Korea. From August 25, 2025, to July 25, 2026, they will study Korean and English at Kangwon National University, in accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding between the institutions.
This program is intended not only to deepen the students’ language skills but also to prepare them for their future work in Turkmenistan’s educational system, making use of the experience gained.
