Institute of World Languages Held Events with Korea and Germany
11.10.2025 | 16:50 |From October 10 to 12, 2025, within the framework of the international exhibition and scientific conference “Healthcare, Education, and Sports in the Era of Revival of the New Epoch of the Powerful State”, a series of important events took place at the Turkmen National Institute of World Languages named after Dovletmammed Azadi in Ashgabat. These events were organized with the participation of representatives from partner universities in the Republic of Korea and Germany.
The key highlight was the first Korean-language essay competition in Turkmenistan, held in cooperation with Kangwon National University (Republic of Korea). The Director of the Global Talent Network Center, Mr. Lee Min Hin, attended the event in person.
The competition aimed to improve writing skills and fluency in the Korean language. It was held among students of the Institute, as well as learners from the King Sejong Korean Language Center and Special School No. 88.
Results:
1st place: Nuray Meredova (3rd-year student, Institute of Languages)
2nd place: Selbiniyaz Ataniyazova (Institute of Languages) and Gulnabat Atayeva (Sejong Center)
The winners were awarded joint Certificates of Honor from the Turkmen and Korean universities, along with commemorative gifts.
Methodological Seminar by a German Expert
At the same time, a methodological seminar for German language teachers was conducted by Professor Johanna Mirendorff from Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg (Germany).
Professor Mirendorff shared methodological recommendations in several areas:
• Social Pedagogy: Studying the stages of a child’s development.
• Harmonious Development: The importance of designing methods to achieve balanced development of the child and family.
• Leisure Time: Organizing engaging and educational activities in libraries for productive after-school leisure.
These events vividly demonstrate the active development of international cooperation and the exchange of advanced experience in the fields of science and education, representing an important step in enhancing the national education system.
