"Arshin Mal Alan": An Immortal Operetta Part of Foreign Classics Week in Turkmenistan

A special feature of Foreign Classics Week, held from December 6 to 12 in Ashgabat, is the work "Arshin Mal Alan" by Azerbaijani composer Uzeyir Hajibeyli. More than a century later, this operetta remains an important element of the region's cultural heritage, uniting generations and countries.

Created in the early 20th century, "Arshin Mal Alan" reflects the social realities of the Caucasus at that time. Uzeyir Hajibeyli created a work that entertains audiences while offering a profound insight into social and cultural transformations.
