Uzbekistan’s food manufacturing sector continues to demonstrate steady growth. According to the National Committee on Statistics of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the total volume of food production in the country reached an impressive 114.8 trillion soums in January–October 2025.
This high figure highlights the strategic importance of the food industry for the national economy and for ensuring the country’s food security.
Regional statistics revealed three absolute leaders accounting for the largest share of total production:
• Tashkent City — 22.6 trillion soums
• Samarkand Region — 15.5 trillion soums
• Tashkent Region — 15.4 trillion soums
These regions maintain leading positions due to the high concentration of processing enterprises, advanced logistics, and strong consumer demand.
Overall, food production remains a key factor in maintaining internal market stability and forming a significant share of the regional economy of Uzbekistan.
