Graviton, a Russian developer and manufacturer of computing equipment, has announced the release of its new smart network interface card (Smart NIC), the SNC-QSFP2-SH01 model. The device is designed for hardware acceleration of network tasks, enabling significant offloading of server CPUs and improving the overall efficiency of data centers (DCs).
The new network card is built on a high-performance FPGA (Field-Programmable Gate Array) featuring more than 50 Mbit of embedded block memory.
Key technical features and advantages:
• Speed: The card is equipped with two QSFP28 ports, each providing data transfer rates of up to 100 Gbit/s.
• Flexibility: Thanks to the programmable logic of the FPGA, the card can handle complex virtualization tasks and traffic processing.
• Reduced CPU load: The device shifts traffic processing to a specialized hardware level, reducing the load on the server's central processor and speeding up cloud services.
The SNC-QSFP2-SH01 model can serve as a platform for integrated cybersecurity solutions (detecting and eliminating threats in network traffic) and for specialized systems such as deep packet inspection (DPI) and next-generation firewalls (NGFW).
Graviton emphasizes its readiness to cooperate with developers of applied systems to adapt the cards to specific technical requirements and tasks.
