AD Ports Group, BUA Group, and MAIR Group have signed a strategic partnership agreement. The aim of the alliance is to transform Abu Dhabi into a global center for food processing (sugar and vegetable oils) and strengthen the region's food security.
The partners plan to build modern sugar factories and edible oil production facilities. The main base will be the Khalifa Port in Abu Dhabi, which possesses a powerful transport infrastructure. The project will also cover the markets of Africa and Latin America, connecting continents with new logistics chains.
The cooperation will affect not only processing, but also the storage, transportation, and distribution of grain, feed, and legumes.
This project addresses several key challenges simultaneously:
• Food Security: The initiative directly supports the UAE's strategy until 2051 to ensure stable food supplies.
• Economic Growth: A world-class ecosystem is being created that stimulates industry and economic diversification.
• New Trade Routes: Combining the experience of the African giant BUA Group and the logistics capabilities of AD Ports Group will strengthen trade ties between Africa and the UAE.
For businesses and consumers, this means creating a more sustainable and flexible food supply system. The development of such powerful processing centers makes it possible to reduce dependence on global market volatility and provide the region with quality products at competitive prices.
