During spring break, experienced teachers from the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International University of Oil and Gas held preparatory classes for gifted schoolchildren at the Saparmurat Turkmenbashi Specialized Boarding School in Ashgabat.
The classes covered physics, computer science, chemistry, biology, geography, and astronomy. They were conducted in accordance with Order No. 100 of the Minister of Education of Turkmenistan "On the Preparation of Schoolchildren for International Olympiads," adopted in March 2026.
The event was attended by 63 gifted students in grades 8-12, selected from schools in Ashgabat, the city of Arkadag, and the Akhal, Balkan, Dashoguz, Lebap, and Mary velayats.
Along with faculty from the Yagshygeldi Kakayev IUOG, staff from the National Institute of Education, faculty from the Magtymguly Turkmen State University, the Oguzkhan Engineering and Technology University, the International University for Humanities and Development, the Seyitnazar Seydi Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute, the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Civil Engineering, and the Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics participated in the training of the schoolchildren.
Such events are aimed at developing students' scientific and technical abilities, preparing them for participation in international competitions, and supporting talented youth in Turkmenistan.
