The Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan and Belarus, with the support of the Belarusian diplomatic mission, are preparing a visit by a high-level delegation of Belarusian entrepreneurs, scheduled to take place from May 22 to May 28.
A key highlight of the visit will be the Belarusian delegation's participation in the "White City — Ashgabat" international exhibition, which traditionally showcases the urban planning and technological achievements of the Turkmen capital.
However, the primary focus will be placed on direct dialogue. Through the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan, bilateral B2B negotiations are being arranged, during which the leadership of Turkmen enterprises will be able to discuss potential contracts with their Belarusian counterparts directly at production facilities. An additional expert platform will be provided by a roundtable discussion held at the Belarusian Embassy, dedicated to strategies for economic cooperation.
The upcoming visit marks a logical continuation of the dialogue that intensified this spring. ORIENT previously reported that Minsk and Ashgabat have identified specific "points of convergence" in the energy and industrial sectors (for more details, please refer to our article "Belarus — Turkmenistan: Business and Energy 2026").
While discussions in March focused on strategic planning, the May visit aims to translate these intentions into concrete contracts and joint projects. Given Belarus's industrial potential and the dynamic development of Turkmenistan's infrastructure, this "business delegation" to Ashgabat could serve as a catalyst for new initiatives in the fields of import substitution and technological cooperation.
