Oriented on making people closer

Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Myahri Byashimova met on Monday with Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Ashgabat Abbas Arbab Khales. At the talks, which took place in the building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, topical issues on the bilateral agenda were considered.

In particular, the parties exchanged views on political and diplomatic cooperation, noting the special significance of meetings at the highest and high levels. Special attention was paid to the development of inter-parliamentary cooperation, including the organization of reciprocal visits, the press service of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry reports.

Diplomats assessed the fruitful partnership of the two states in a multilateral format within the framework of international and regional structures.

The priorities of trade and economic relations between Turkmenistan and Iran were also discussed, with an emphasis on developing partnerships in the field of energy and transport. In addition, issues of cooperation in the field of ecology and intensification of the dialogue between women of the two countries were discussed.
