Musicians from Ashgabat performed classical music concerts in Turkmenabat and Mary
20.11.2023 | 02:23 |Young teachers and students of the Maya Kuliyeva Turkmen National Conservatory performed classical music concerts in Turkmenabat and Mary. At the end of last week, they went on a trip to the administrative centers of the regions and visited the Lebap Special School of Arts and the Mary Special Music School named after Elaman Hummaev, and also played works of world classics, modern Turkmen and foreign composers together with their pupils on the stage of regional drama theaters.
The artistic directors of the concerts were teachers of the TNK String Instruments Department, laureates of the VI International Competition and Festival of Arts “Sounds of Dutar” named after Nury Halmamedov, Tahir Atayev and Bahram Dolyev, known to the public for the creative collectives under their management.
Thus, the ensemble “Camerata of Ashgabat” presented a program at the Mary Music Special School, which included “Tango” by Schindler, “Waves” by Kvanovich, the second quartet “In Memory of Indira Gandhi” by Chary Nurimov, “Romance” by Sviridov, “Black Eyes” by Devitte and “March Round Dance” by Dinika.
The Chamber Orchestra of Tahir Atayev gave a concert, in which students of the Turkmenabat Music Special School participated together with students of the conservatory. They performed compositions by Mehmandarov, Sviridov, Sirotin, Vivaldi in the treatment of Max Richer, Belle from the musical “Notre Dame de Paris”, music from the movie “Pirates of the Caribbean” and “The Song of Artyk” from the movie “The Decisive Step”.
The grateful audience applauded the artists for a long time, especially the soloists of the concert – Bahram Dolyev (violin) and Begench Moshshiev (tenor) conquered her.
In recent years, classical music concerts in Turkmenistan have become more frequent, and young musicians have great opportunities to receive quality education in this field, participate in international festivals and competitions, improving their professional skills. At the same time, such concerts show that Turkmen youth have a great interest in classical music, they like to join this great heritage, learn to understand and perceive it as part of their cultural code and spiritual development.
