Turkmenistan Prepares New International Meetings to Strengthen Humanitarian Partnership
28.06.2025 | 00:12 |In continuation of the humanitarian initiatives of the head of state, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan has prepared a number of proposals for the development of systemic cooperation.
In particular, a round table with representatives of the International Organization for Migration and the UN is scheduled for June 28 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to discuss cooperation in emergency situations. The next day, June 29, a briefing will be held for the heads of accredited diplomatic missions and international organizations dedicated to international humanitarian activities.
It was also proposed to develop and approve three-year work plans for the further development of humanitarian cooperation with the UN, the International Committee of the Red Cross and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies. This was reported at a meeting of the Turkmen government on Friday, June 27, by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov approved the proposals presented, instructing to continue to expand Turkmenistan's humanitarian ties with the countries of the world.
