Honor, which released the Honor Power smartphone with an 8000 mAh battery in April 2025, is reportedly working on an even more enduring device. The new handset is expected to feature an 8200 mAh battery, according to insider Digital Chat Station.

According to the Chinese certification authority 3C, the battery with a nominal capacity of 8100 mAh (model HB5668A0EIW) is being jointly produced by Sunwoda Electronics and Honor. This is a lithium-ion polymer battery with a nominal energy of 30.54 Wh. The new smartphone is positioned as a mid-range device; however, its name and release date remain undisclosed. It is speculated that this device could be the successor to the Honor Power.

For reference, the current Honor Power features a 6.78-inch OLED screen (1.5K, 120 Hz), a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor, 66W fast charging, and cameras including a 16 MP front camera and a 50 MP + 5 MP main camera setup. It operates on MagicOS 9 and Android 15.

Furthermore, Digital Chat Station reported that the upcoming foldable smartphone, the Honor Magic V5, will feature a class-leading 6100 mAh battery while maintaining a slim body thickness of just 8.8 mm.
