Central Asia's largest ski resort under construction in Kyrgyzstan
26.06.2025 | 13:06 |By the end of 2025, the second phase of construction for Central Asia's largest ski resort, "Ala-Too Resort" will be completed in Kyrgyzstan.
The Kyrgyz government has allocated 3,916 hectares of land in the Issyk-Kul region to the state-owned enterprise "Ala-Too Resort". Authorities anticipate the resort will attract up to 850,000 tourists annually.
The project encompasses three primary resort areas: Jyrgalan (1,624.7 ha), Ak-Bulak (945.9 ha), and Boz-Uchuk (1,345 ha). Essential infrastructure, including kindergartens, social facilities, and utility networks, will also be developed in neighboring villages.
The government intends for "Ala-Too Resort" to operate as a year-round tourist destination. The ski season is projected to last up to seven months annually, with the resorts capable of accommodating up to 850,000 tourists per year. The total length of the ski slopes will extend to 250 kilometers.
