Oriented on making people closer

The founding conference of the Union of Cultural Capitals of the Turkic World is being held in Shusha on Sunday, December 10.

The event is attended by official representatives of the cities of Sheki and Shusha (Azerbaijan), Turkestan (Kazakhstan), Osh (Kyrgyzstan), Anau (Turkmenistan), Eskisehir, Kastamonu and Bursa (Turkey), Report informs.

The Minister of Culture of Turkmenistan Atageldi Shamuradov is also participating in the meeting.

In October of this year, at a meeting of the Permanent Council of Ministers of Culture of the countries of the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY), the transfer of the status of “Cultural Capital of the Turkic World” from the Azerbaijani city of Shusha, which performed this mission in 2023, to the Turkmen city of Anau for 2024 took place.

An organizing committee has been created in Turkmenistan to hold events on the occasion of the proclamation of the city of Anau as the cultural capital of the Turkic world in 2024.
