The sights of Anau - the cultural capital of the Turkic world-2024 await new guests
07.01.2024 | 20:28 |Preparations for events to mark the proclamation of the city of Anau as the cultural capital of the Turkic world in 2024 were considered at a meeting of the Turkmen government on Saturday, January 6. Deputy Prime Minister Myahrijemal Mammedova reported to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov about the program of planned forums, exhibitions and concerts with the participation of cultural figures of Turkic countries.
The events will start immediately after the Novruz celebration, on March 22. The ceremony will take place in the Ak Oy concert hall in the Ahal region. There will be a gala concert of artists from fraternal states, as well as an exhibition of works by artists and photographers.
In April, it is planned to organize an information tour of the sights of Turkmenistan for media correspondents, and at the end of May for representatives of travel agencies of TURKSOY member countries.
An international scientific conference on cultural heritage is scheduled for August, in which historians, archaeologists, art historians, architectural researchers and other specialists are invited to participate.
In the fall, in October, the international youth forum of the TURKSOY member countries, a festival, conference and exhibition dedicated to the folklore and applied arts of the Turkic peoples, as well as the II TURKSOY theater festival will be held.
Further, in November, Turkmenistan will take the baton of the international film festival “Gorkut Ata”. In the same month, a meeting of the Council of Ministers of Culture of the TURKSOY member countries and the final concert of masters of culture and art of Turkic-speaking countries will be held.
In addition, it is planned to organize a week of films about the historical and cultural heritage of the Turkic peoples, publish a magazine dedicated to the history of Anau, and prepare a video on this topic, which will be broadcast on the national television channels of the TURKSOY member countries, this was reported on the website of the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan.
