Kuickwheel launches Skyrider X6 flying motorcycle

Chinese company Kuickwheel has commenced production of the Skyrider X6 flying motorcycle, a vehicle first unveiled at CES 2025. This unique device integrates a tricycle with a multicopter, offering a novel perspective on personal transportation.

The Skyrider X6 is capable of ground travel with a range of up to 200 km or can operate as a drone, achieving speeds of up to 72 km/h and a flight range of up to 50 km on a single charge. Both automatic and manual control options are available.

Two battery versions are offered: a 10.5 kWh option (1 hour charging time) and a 21 kWh option (providing up to 40 minutes of flight). The pre-order price in China is $69,000.

Safety features include redundant systems, a ballistic parachute, and a lightweight body constructed from carbon fiber and aviation-grade aluminum.

Widespread adoption is currently hindered by airspace restrictions and the requirement for a pilot's license, which adds an estimated $6,900 to the cost. While the Skyrider X6 presently remains a luxury item, it represents a significant advancement in the future of personal aviation.
