Turkmenistan presented rich heritage at Asian Culture Festival in Ploiești
10.07.2025 | 15:00 |On July 9, a large-scale Asian Culture Festival was held at the Palace of Culture in Ploiești. This significant event was organized by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Romania in close cooperation with the diplomatic missions of Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Japan, the Republic of Korea, and the Philippines, and with the active support of the Prahova County Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Among the esteemed guests at the festival were representatives of local authorities, heads of diplomatic missions, prominent public figures, regional residents, and media representatives. The grand opening featured welcoming speeches from the organizers. Particularly noteworthy was the address by Mr. Aurelian Gogulescu, President of the Prahova Chamber of Commerce and Industry, who emphasized the immense importance of cultural dialogue and international partnership in the contemporary world.
The festival program was rich and diverse. One of the most striking moments was the display of traditional Asian attire. Turkmenistan's stand garnered universal attention with a stylish collection of national costumes, showcasing a unique blend of classical ornaments and modern design solutions.
A significant meeting between ambassadors and representatives of the Prahova administration took place during the event. In their speeches, the diplomats underscored the necessity of further developing bilateral relations and strengthening regional cooperation. The musical portion of the program offered attendees unforgettable impressions from performances of national compositions. The Turkmen side presented captivating folklore melodies, conveying the richness and originality of the nation's musical heritage.
A central element of the festival was an extensive cultural exhibition. Turkmenistan's stand was particularly distinguished, presenting visitors with traditional costumes, unique handcrafted items, exquisite carpet products, national musical instruments, as well as the works of President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. A special place was given to the works of the great Turkmen poet Magtymguly Fragi, presented in various languages, including Romanian. Embassy staff actively engaged with visitors, sharing fascinating information about Turkmenistan's rich history, unique culture, and ancient traditions, and introducing guests to the country's centuries-old heritage and modern achievements.
