The Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan and the President of Uzbekistan Held a Telephone Conversation

The National Leader of the Turkmen people cordially congratulated the head of the fraternal state on his birthday, wishing him good health, well-being and great success, and the fraternal people of Uzbekistan- peace and prosperity.
The parties discussed current issues of further development and strengthening of Uzbek-Turkmen relations of friendship, good-neighborliness and strategic partnership in the context of the practical implementation of the agreements of the summit in Samarkand in April of this year, the website of the President of Uzbekistan reports.
The dynamic growth of mutual trade turnover, deepening cooperation ties at the level of enterprises and businesses, and the ongoing active cultural and humanitarian exchange were noted with satisfaction.
An exchange of views took place on issues of the international and regional agenda, including preparations for the third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries and the next Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia.
The Seventh Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia will be held in Tashkent. The summit will be held in September 2025.
The annual meetings of the presidents of the Central Asian countries have become a platform for discussing cooperation, promoting effective interaction and integration, as well as forming a common regional vision.
The previous, sixth Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia was held on August 9, 2024 in the capital of Kazakhstan - Astana. At it, the concept for the development of regional cooperation "Central Asia - 2040" was signed.
The main goal of the concept is to consolidate efforts for regional rapprochement by expanding five-way interaction and increasing the international subjectivity of the region. The concept is aimed at initiating a new phase of cooperation, recognizing peace and stability as the most important prerequisites for sustainable development. It also focuses on expanding economic and logistical opportunities, creating common strategies for ensuring water, energy and food security, strengthening cultural and humanitarian ties between fraternal peoples and establishing a civilizational, regional identity.
