Windows 11 to receive new feature for simultaneous audio output to multiple devices
24.07.2025 | 16:30 |Microsoft is preparing a significant update for Windows 11, introducing a built-in feature that will enable seamless audio output to multiple devices concurrently. Currently, this functionality necessitates third-party applications, but users will soon be able to achieve it natively.
The insider @phantomofearth has discovered a hidden toggle within the quick settings of the latest Windows 11 test builds. This feature will allow users to share audio across two or more available devices with just a few clicks. To activate it, users will simply select the "Shared Audio" option in the Control Center, choose the desired devices, and click "Share."
While there have been no official announcements regarding this feature, it is anticipated to be rolled out in upcoming preview builds of Windows 11. This enhancement will significantly improve the operating system's convenience for users who wish to play audio simultaneously through devices such as headphones and speakers.
Microsoft is also actively responding to user feedback. For instance, the company previously reversed a recent change to the taskbar due to negative reviews. Furthermore, the implementation of an Outlook update designed to add offline calendar functionality to the Windows 11 application has been postponed.
