 Turkmenistan Reaffirms Commitment to Fair Play Principles at UNESCO Conference in Paris

The delegation of Turkmenistan is participating in the 10th Session of the Conference of the Parties to the International Convention Against Doping in Sport (COP10), held from October 20 to 22 at the UNESCO Headquarters in Paris.

The Turkmen delegation includes Permanent Representative of Turkmenistan to UNESCO and Ambassador to France M. Charyyev, Head of the International Department of the State Committee for Physical Culture and Sports Sh. Seryaev, and Chair of the National Anti-Doping Agency L. Artykova.

The session’s agenda covers discussions on the implementation of the Convention, the activities of the Fund for the Elimination of Doping in Sport, the strengthening of international cooperation, and the development of educational programs aimed at doping prevention.

The anniversary session, marking the 20th anniversary of the Convention, brought together representatives of the States Parties, international organizations, and experts to exchange experiences on ensuring transparency and integrity in sports.

The Turkmen delegation reaffirmed the country’s commitment to the principles of the Convention and expressed support for UNESCO’s initiatives aimed at enhancing international collaboration in the fight against doping.

Turkmenistan’s efforts in this field are based on state policy focused on the promotion of physical culture, mass sports, and the cultivation of a fair play culture.
