
On April 25, Ashgabat, Turkmenistan's capital, will host an engineering and technical competition for schoolchildren called "Young Engineer 2026."
The competition is organized by the Ashgabat City Committee of the Party of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, the Ashgabat City Education Department of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, and the Ashgabat City Council of the Magtymguly Youth Organization. This was reported on the official website of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan.
The Competition Will Be Held in Four Categories.
-"Smart Manufacturing and Service Technologies" – students in grades 7–12 will present their innovative projects, including in teams of up to two.
-"Robotics" – students in grades 7–12 will participate individually: their robots must collect balls and place them in containers of varying heights within 2.5 minutes. The top five participants in this category will earn the right to represent their country at the First Global Challenge 2026 international robotics championship.
-"Young Coders" – students in grade 8 and up will present projects in the Scratch programming environment, including games, animations, or applications.
-"BattleBots" (robot battles) is open to participants of all ages.

Winners in each category will be awarded valuable prizes from the organizers and sponsor, as well as certificates of honor from the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan.
The competition will take place on April 25, 2026, at 10:00 AM in the building of the private enterprise "Ojar Aziýa" at 38 G. Kuliev Street.
