Oriented on making people closer

In Ankara, the concert “The Great Poet and Thinker of the Turkic World Magtymguly Fragi” was held with the participation of the International Organization of Turkic Culture TURKSOY, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Ankara, the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey.

People's artists of Turkmenistan Akmuhammed Khanov, Dovletmurad Khanmammedov, Meilis Gochmuradov, Maya Orazberdyeva, Gulshat Gurdova, as well as the dance ensemble “Miras” performed on the stage.

Speaking to the audience, TURKSOY Secretary General Sultan Raev said: “Art allows us to see the beauty of the world. The meaning of a work, drama, novel or story comes from the person who wrote it, but it is perceived by each reader and listener in his own way, and each discovers his own unique Universe in it, achieving millions of unique meanings and showing us different colors of the world.”

“However, in this meaning there are common points of contact, which we call “Brotherhood.” - In this hall, the children of many fraternal countries will become closer to each other, understand each other better, and the bonds of brotherhood between them will be strengthened by strengthening our common culture, thanks to the commonality of songs that they will soon sing together. This is the goal of TURKSOY,” the organization’s website quotes the Secretary General as saying.

In his speech, Ambassador of Turkmenistan in Ankara Mekan Ishanguliyev noted that TURKSOY organized many meetings related to Turkmenistan this week, and thereby emphasized that holding these events dedicated to Magtymguly Fragi and Anau - the cultural capital of the Turkic world, at international platforms will improve interaction and cultural exchange between Turkic-speaking countries.

The day before, at the General Secretariat of TURKSOY, a presentation of the book by President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhammedov “Anau - Culture From the Depths of Millennia” took place. During the presentation, it was noted that this book will be translated into Turkish in the near future. As part of the event, an exhibition of samples of Turkmen folk applied art was organized.

Also, as part of the events dedicated to the 300th anniversary of Magtymguly Fragi, the first stage of the program, organized by TURKSOY together with the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Ankara and the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan, took place in front of his monument in the “Turkmenistan” Park in the Dikmen Valley of Ankara.
