Representatives of OJSC "Transport and Logistics Center of Turkmenistan" held a business meeting with COSCO SHIPPING GROUP in China
28.06.2024 | 16:18 |On June 26, 2024, representatives of Transport and Logistics Center of Turkmenistan OJSC visited the People's Republic of China on a working visit, during which a meeting was held with the Chinese transport and logistics company COSCO SHIPPING GROUP in Shanghai.
During the meeting, the possibility of organizing container transportation of the COSCO SHIPPING GROUP company to Turkmenistan was discussed. The prospect of delivering containers to the Turkmenbashi international port was discussed, which could create a new logistics center in Central Asia. This project involves improving the transport infrastructure of the region and opening new routes for transporting goods in East-West directions.
Particular attention at the meeting was paid to the discussion of the main bilateral routes. Representatives of the parties reached an agreement on the transportation of containers from the People's Republic of China through Kazakhstan to Turkmenistan, and then through the Turkmenbashi International Port to the countries of Europe and the Middle East. These routes are of strategic importance, as they will optimize logistics chains, reduce time and costs for transporting goods, and increase trade volumes between regions.
