Turkmenistan will participate in the International Film Festival of Eurasian Countries for the first time
24.05.2025 | 12:10 |The II International Film Festival of Eurasian Countries "Eurasia-Film Festival" will be held in Sochi from June 6th to 13th, bringing together filmmakers from 24 countries. Turkmenistan will participate in this large-scale cultural event for the first time. Pakistan, Kenya, Germany, Turkey, South Africa, Switzerland, Mongolia, Brazil, France, Spain, and Serbia have also joined as new participants.
The festival will serve as an important platform for the exchange of ideas, creative interaction, and the strengthening of cultural ties. Its aim is to highlight the significance of the spiritual and moral values that unite the countries of the Eurasian continent through the art of cinema.
Filmmakers can expect competitive and non-competitive screenings, retrospectives, master classes, round tables, forums, panel sessions, and creative meetings. Special attention will be paid to supporting young directors, screenwriters, cinematographers, and film bloggers. The festival will include a pitching session for grant support for the best film projects, as well as the announcement of the results of the competition of the Youth Association of Cinematographers of Eurasia.
The first "Eurasia-Film Festival" was held in Moscow in October 2024 and gathered more than 10,000 viewers. Throughout the year, ANO "Eurasia" held forums "Echo of Eurasia-Film Festival" in Kyrgyzstan, Abkhazia, Armenia, and Belarus, thereby expanding the cinematic space and presenting new creative works.
