Beijing discussed agenda of the second Central Asia-China summit
24.05.2025 | 23:25 |On May 24, a meeting of deputy foreign ministers of the Central Asia-China format was held in Beijing, where the Turkmen side was represented by Akhmet Gurbanov.
The main issue on the agenda was the discussion of preparations for the second summit of the heads of state of Central Asia and China, scheduled for June of this year in Astana.
The deputy heads of the foreign policy departments of Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and China exchanged proposals on the preliminary agenda of the upcoming summit and reviewed the draft joint final documents.
The meeting participants expressed a common opinion that holding the next summit will be a significant event emphasizing the growing role of the Central Asia-China format as an open and constructive mechanism for interstate cooperation aimed at ensuring sustainable development, peace and security in the region.
