The forum will summarize the initiative to create a platform for women's cooperation in the field of environmental protection and sustainable development, support a network of women leaders actively involved in climate and water initiatives, and present successful projects and scientific issues that will be addressed by women.
The Women in Glacier Conservation Forum is being organized within the framework of the International Conference on Glacier Conservation, which will be held on May 29-31, 2025 in Dushanbe. This is the first high-level United Nations International Conference on the conservation of glaciers on a global scale, which is expected to bring together more than 2,200 representatives of states, international organizations, civil society, scientists and politicians.
Women, through their active work and new ideas, make a great contribution to the fight against such global threats as the negative effects of climate change, environmental degradation, as well as to addressing issues of socio-economic, cultural and humanitarian development, healthcare and education. These topics will be the focus of the Central Asian Women's Dialogue 2025, traditionally focused on issues of gender equality, women's participation in public and political life, as well as the development of effective ways to realize the creative potential of women, strengthening their role in solving socio-economic and environmental problems.
