Oriented on making people closer

Astana, June 16 – The China – Central Asia Humanitarian Exchange Forum, held under the motto "Good-Neighborliness and Friendship, Moving Forward Together," took place today in Astana. Turkmenistan was represented at the event by the information agency "Media Turkmen". The forum was held as part of the Second "Central Asia – China" Summit, bringing together representatives from media, cultural, and governmental bodies of the region's countries. The primary focus of the forum was on strengthening humanitarian cooperation, expanding collaboration in the media sphere, and promoting intercultural dialogue.

During the forum, the international version of the television project "Xi Jinping's Favorite Quotations" was presented.

Annasahet Kakayev, Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Television, Radio Broadcasting, and Cinematography of Turkmenistan, remarked at the opening:

"This forum, dedicated to humanitarian exchange, is taking place at a historical moment when the world faces numerous challenges. Recent events, such as the escalation of the situation in the Middle East and tensions in international relations, underscore the importance of strengthening ties between our countries. I eagerly anticipated the launch of the international version of the television project "Xi Jinping's Favorite Quotations". These words reflect the philosophy, values, and respect for peace that China brings to its dialogue with the outside world".

State Counselor of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Karin Yerlan, also addressed the forum.

The forum's program included: the premiere of the documentary film "Clouds on Earth"; a presentation of the project "Clothing as a Symbol: From China to the World"; the launch of the reporting series "I Studied in China"; a summary of the "Great Journey through Central Asia" project; the publication of "Initiatives for Media Cooperation between China and Central Asia"; creative performances; and the presentation of the best joint media projects.

The event concluded with a song performed by Kazakh singer Rukhiya Baidukenova.

The participation of "Media Turkmen" agency in such a significant event underscores Turkmenistan's commitment to expanding humanitarian partnership and developing media cooperation, thereby strengthening good-neighborly ties between the countries of the region and China.
